Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj should probably work together more often, because their remix to “Flawless” was named best song of 2014 by Time.
The song, which is their first collaboration, tops the magazine’s annual list of the greatest in music and entertainment. “In a year that saw a number of high-profile female pop collaborations, ‘Flawless’ never topped the charts like ‘Fancy,’ but what it lacked in radio domination it made up for with sheer star power,” wrote Time.
The Hit-Boy-produced song, which appears on the re-released, expanded edition of Beyoncé’s self-titled album, beat out several big hits including Tinashe and ScHoolboy Q’s “2 On” at #5 and Future’s “Move That Dope” featuring Pusha T and Pharrell, which came in at #3.

*This morning, Kerry Washington became the first African American woman to earn a best actress Emmy nomination in 18 years.
Nominees for the 65th annual Primetime Emmy Awards were announced Thursday morning at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in North Hollywood.
Washington made the cut for Lead Actress in a Drama for her role as DC fixer Olivia Pope in the ABC series “Scandal.” Cicely Tyson appeared in the same category in 1995 for her NBC legal drama “Sweet Justice,” but she eventually lost to “Picket Fences” star Kathy Baker.
A black actress has never won this category in the Emmy Awards’ 65 year history. Washington will face competition from fellow nominees Connie Britton of “Nashville,” Claire Danes of “Homeland,” “Downton Abbey” star Michelle Dockery, Vera Farmiga of “Bates Motel” and Robin Wright in the Netflix series “House of Cards.” – via EurWeb

It’s starting — Beyonce‘s Mrs. Carter Show world tour, that is. King Bey kicks off her global jaunt Monday night in Serbia, where she’ll perform for the first of many sold-out shows that are scheduled through August.
There’s no telling what Beyonce has in store for fans, but so far, we know that at some point she’ll be rocking clothes created by Dsquared2. The label, founded by twin designers Dean and Dan of Toronto, tells Billboard that they’ve created at least one custom look for Bey’s stage wardrobe.
LL Cool J, country singer Brad Paisley and the controversy surrounding their “Accidental Racist” duet was spoofed on Saturday Night Live over the weekend.
SNL cast members Keenan Thompson and Jason Sudeikis portrayed the rapper and the country singer making an appearance on “Weekend Update.”
The pair declared that racism was now “cured,” thanks to their song.
Sudeikis, as Paisley, said the song showed folks “the gritty reality of a man at Starbucks talking to his barista.”
For his part, Thompson, as LL Cool J, remarked that he “wanted to tell the story of a rapper who needs to get his name out there because he has an album that’s about to drop”
The spoof continued with Thompson’s LL declaring, “When I agreed do a country song, I knew I was risking my reputation as the most lowdown hard-core cast member of NCIS.”

Miguel‘s crash landing at the Billboard Music Awards may be old news on Twitter, but it’s not over for the singer. The audience member who appeared alongside Miguel in a backstage interview following the incident is now considering legal action, according to E! News.
In a video clip from the meeting, the woman — Khyati Shah — held an ice pack to her elbow, but seemed to be in good spirits. Asked what she thought of the singer, Khyati gushed “I ‘Adorn’ him.” Weeks later though, Shah’s attorney Vip Bhola, tells E! News that his client has been experiencing “difficulties” resulting from the incident with Miguel.
Bhola tells E! that he hasn’t spoken to Miguel’s representatives, but he and his client are open to a settlement. Asked when any civil action would be filed, Bhola tells E!, “We will determine that after we have feedback from medical providers.”
