Bench Warrant Issued For Lil Wayne In Arizona Drugs Case

Lil Wayne is still causing trouble, even now that he's in jail. According to Arizona's Yuma Sun, a bench warrant was issued Tuesday by a Yuma County judge after Wayne missed a hearing related to various drug charges. The rapper's attorney argues that Wayne couldn't make it because he's currently serving a jail sentence in New York in connection with his weapons case. The attorney requested to have the March 30th trial date vacated and to have bond remain the same. Prosecutors want the bond raised to 150 thousand dollars.

Wayne was arrested in 2008 at a border checkpoint 78 miles east of Yuma after, authorities say, they found cocaine, Ecstasy and a handgun on his tour bus.
